The attendance was slightly down today with a Sunday School attendance of 30 and Worship service attendance of 53. The Sunday School Lesson was taken from Revelation chapter 6 and the Sermon was from the book of 1st John chapter 5 on the subject of "How We Know We are Saved." Our music director was out of town and so Bro. Head led the singing. There was no public response to the invitation. The morning services ended at 12:10. There was a meeting held at the close of services for the VBS workers. We discussed the closing program, room assignments, helpers, and publicity. We are very thankful for all those who volunteered to work in VBS. The picture was taken at our VBS in 2003.
We had a problem with one of the A/C units in the auditorium. The condensation pan sprung a leak and soaked the carpet on the first floor. It will be a major repair job. We may have to move our evening services to one of our large class rooms until the repair can be made. The one unit will not have to run throughout the hot afternoon to try to keep the auditorium cool.
Our evening services were average in attendance about 35. Bro. Head again led the singing and the sermon was taken from the 59th Psalm. Tuesday the Ladies Bible Study will meet at the parsonage as usual. Wednesday night services will be at 7:00. Hope to see you there. God bless you.
